Norlida (Oli) Azmi is a passionate advocate of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB), digital, well-being and Sustainability. She is currently the Group Chief People Officer of Axiata Group Berhad responsible for driving the strategic People priorities across the Group as part of Axiata’s Vision to Be the Next Generation Digital Champion. She serves within the Group as member of the Board Committees or as permanent invitee driving the Winning Culture,
Oli is an Adjunct Professor at UNITAR International University and is a member of the TalentCorp Industry-Talent Advisory Council. She is a Chartered Fellow CIPD and recently co-authored a book entitled “How Dare They.”
She has more than 35 years professional experience – after spending 13 years in Malaysia working for HP and Citibank in her early career before she expanded her international experience and spent more than 18 years overseas in Singapore, London, Riyadh, Doha, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. She returned to Malaysia in 2014 as Group Chief Human Capital Officer of UEM Group
She has held diverse roles as Business Head, Regional Marketing Director, Risk Manager, Deputy Wholesale Bank Policy & Procedures Head, Chief Operating Officer, Strategic Planning Head and CHRO with global banks including Citibank, Standard Chartered, HSBC, Middle Eastern banks including Samba Financial Group, Commercial Bank of Qatar Group and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Malaysian conglomerates including UEM Group and PNB.
