FLIP has developed the Be Career Ready Program to provide career education and guidance to schools.
Learning from Career and Labour Market Information
FLIP internships provide an opportunity for students to explore career options and pathways by trying out short work-place placements. FLIP Industry talks provides students an avenue to be plugged in to industry needs and trends.
Addressing the need of each pupil
Students have different career needs at different stages. FLIP Be Career Ready Program provides this support and advice is tailored to the needs of each student.
Linking Curriculum learning to Schools
We do this in our Be Career Ready Program and via FLIP Industry Talks.
Encounters with Employers and employees
Students should have multiple opportunities to engage with employers and key industry leaders – this can be though a range of activities including FLIP Industry talks, FLIP Ready4 Life mentoring sessions and at industry visits.
Experiences of Workplace
Through FLIP Internships, students have first-hand experience of the workplace through industrial visits, work-placements, work shadowing and work experience to chart their pathways.
Encounters with Further and Higher Education
Students should understand the full range of learning opportunities available to them. FLIP is collaborating with international partners to facilitate this access and support.
Personal Guidance
Students should have opportunities to be guided and coached for interviews and in preparing personal statements. Access should be available whenever significant study or career choices are made. FLIP provides that support in our Be Career Ready Program.
